Jones Sheridan raises money for local charity

On Thursday 16th March, at a client event, Jones Sheridan held a raffle! Thanks to the generosity of the Jones Sheridan clients in purchasing raffle tickets, a total of £700 was raised for the Up and Under Foundation, which was gladly accepted on behalf of the charity by Andrew and Lorna Fewtrell, who attended the event.

The Up and Under Foundation is a charity close to Jones Sheridan, both geography and sentimentally. It aims to ensure that wherever possible financial restraints do not prevent young people from experiencing all that the great outdoors can offer to broaden and enrich their life experiences, with an emphasis on adventure and sporting activity.

Now that Jones Sheridan is part of 1825, it has access to a Standard Life fundraising scheme called ‘Raise and Match’. This scheme supports fundraising activity by employees of the Standard Life Group, enabling them to raise further funds for charities that are close to their heart. Standard Life kindly donated £250 to increase the initial £700 raised, to £950.

The activities to raise money for the Up and Under Foundation will continue in early May when several members of the Jones Sheridan team will be taking part in the ‘Foundation Rides’. This will take place on Sunday 7th May. Managing Director, David Williams, will be leading the Jones Sheridan contingent (in spirit, probably not body!!) for the 100km cycle ride.
